Lake Cheakamus

Wednesday, June 18th. We were enjoying vacationing in the land of the 2010 Winter Olympics. There was a lot going on in preparation for the upcoming events. We loved walking around Whistler Village.
Our family headed back to Cheakamus Lake trail on our bikes. It was fun to ride and we made it all the way to the lake. Spectacular! On our way home we got a flat tire. Since we hadn't ever had to change one on our Suburban we spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to do it. We almost were late for our Canopy walk scheduled for that afternoon, but we made it.

We went to the Ecco Trek Canopy Walk Tour. It was great and we even saw a black bear below us on the river. Brad had promised double souvenirs for the kids with the sighting of a black bear. The kids were stoked.

Sounds like a very fun trip. We'll have to get specific directions if we ever decide to check it out - since I'm fairly certain the locals won't have a clue where the "Poop Forest" is. :)
