Crater Lake

Crater Lake was a great finish to a very fun trip. It was a beautiful lake in the middle of nowhere. Millons of years ago the lake was a volcano, a crater was formed and the lake was made. It is the clearest crystal blue water I've ever seen. The evening we arrived we drove over to the lodge and ate dinner with the kids. It was so much fun. The lodge was as pretty as the lake. The next day we spent some more time in the Park and we were able to hike down and put our feet in the water. Fantastic!

We started our long drive home and drove late into the night. We were very blessed to make it to Lakeview, Oregon and get gas before they closed otherwise I am sure we would have run out on our way to Winnemucca.

We had such a fun trip. We did a lot and saw so many things and went so many places. After 10 days of camping, it was really nice to come home.
