I love Big Cottonwood Canyon. We have stayed at Solitude Resort a couple of times and are probably going to make it an annual tradition. We love the eagles springs east building since the pool is attached and the rooms are always nice. It is never busy when we go - usually September.

We went to our favorite cook out spot. We have some visitors, my family, Mom and Dad, Janene and Marc came up for one night and Brad's parents come up for the other night.

We went to church and it was fast day so we got to listen to some sweet testimonies of people who regularly live in Brighton for the summer that were leaving. The Smart Family was there and it was so touching to hear Brother Smart share his testimony of the gospel and share some things about his family. Elizabeth had just been called to serve a mission in France. In Sunday school they talked about Joseph Smith and the importance of sealing his testimony with his death. The power in Brother Smarts testimony that day made me realize that your testimony can be sealed through your trials and experiences not just by death.

We hiked Mary, Martha, and Katherine. I was a great weekend.
